We are seeking aSenior Analyst, Global Logistics & Duty Drawback who will be responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and improving international logistics processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across global sites. This role also manages Excelitas' duty-drawback and customs recovery programs, ensuring adherence to trade regulations while maximizing refund opportunities. This position is an on-site role based at our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Main Responsibilities:



  • Support and optimize global logistics activities across international supply chains, including transportation, freight management, import/export compliance, and distribution optimization.
  • Manage and oversee the duty drawback and customs refund programs across North America and other regions, ensuring timely, accurate claims and full compliance with customs regulations.
  • Partner with Customs Brokers, Trade Compliance, Finance, and Global Operations teams to ensure accurate classification, documentation, and reconciliation of import/export records.
  • Track, analyze, and report on logistics performance metrics, freight costs, and recovery savings; identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers and customs partners to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency.
  • Assist in standardizing global logistics processes and aligning site-level practices with corporate trade compliance policies.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to government regulations including CBSA, CBP, and other regional customs authorities.
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses and business cases to support freight optimization, customs savings, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to improve automation, visibility, and reporting related to logistics and duty-drawback programs.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of global logistics harmonization and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements:



  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics, international trade, or customs compliance within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing or filing duty-drawback claims (US or Canada) required.
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes, Incoterms, and trade compliance regulations (CBP, CBSA, ITAR/EAR preferred).
  • Proven ability to analyze logistics data and implement process improvements.
  • Experience working with ERP (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; experience with Power BI a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
