IPS CTF Engineer
Overview Position is a full-time position in Philadelphia, PA. Electric Boat is expanding its engineering presence in the Philadelphia Navy Yard to support the COLUMBIA Class propulsion plant testing program. The IPS CTF waterfront engineering team provides technical support for emergent issues by evaluating problems and collaborating with a team of engineers across multiple sites. IPS CTF Waterfront Engineering personnel will perform the tasks described below to support development and execution of the Motor Module Test Program. The IPS CTF facility regularly works on high-priority programs with high levels of upper-level management and government visibility making the position demanding with regular opportunities for overtime. The test program will, at times, require a 24/7 test schedule and, therefore, qualified candidates must be willing to support overnight and weekend shifts as required. Work from home opportunities are limited and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Frequent interface with Naval Surface Warfare Center - Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) and NAVSEA personnel is required. Occasional travel may be required <10%. Responsibilities will include the following:
Troubleshoot and investigate issues by reviewing data and inspecting the condition of hardware using test equipment such as digital multi-meters, fiber optic test kits, special test equipment, etc.
