Description

The position of Compliance Officer is responsible for managing various administrative areas of the Bank; provide support and guidance to lending and operational compliance efforts, committees and audits; conduct staff training related to compliance. The position of Compliance Officer is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties



  1. Provide support and guidance to the Bank's operational and lending compliance efforts; assist with regulatory agencies and/or auditors inquiries; review and write compliance-related policies and procedures; make recommendations to senior management when and where appropriate
  2. Develop and administer Bank forms to assure the use of correct and updated forms by Bank personnel
  3. Review for compliance with regulations any marketing material and advertisements presented for approval
  4. Research regulatory inquiries and assist in implementation of regulatory changes.
  5. Assist Chief Compliance Officer in researching and documenting consumer complaints, as necessary
  6. Prepare reports to be delivered to the Board Compliance Management Committee regarding completed audits and status of compliance monitoring schedule
  7. Ensure website complies with related regulations
  8. Participate in committees as requested
  9. Conduct various staff training exercises, including, compliance and other specialized training, as needed
  10. Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, Bank policies and procedures, and the Bank's products and services
  11. Attend seminars and workshops to stay current on all areas of regulatory compliance. Establish a contact list of training companies to use as a reference guide in the future.
  12. Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
  13. Strong communication skills, including both verbal and written.
