Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Training Consultant, part of the RBC's Clearing & Custody business, you will be responsible for delivering roles-based and business type-based training to RBC Clearing & Custody ("C&C") firms. Your role will participate in improving the client's experience and drive usage of our technology applications, products and services.

What will you do?

  • Research, analyze, and develop training programs aimed at awareness building and education on C&C technology and product offerings.
  • Work closely with correspondent and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms on new tool and application rollouts, including educating, communicating, and consulting with firms directly on best practices as it relates to using RBC solutions.
  • Deliver end-to-end transition training on RBC C&C technology for new Correspondent and RIA firms.
  • Deliver field training, including various methods of teaching such as on-site, on-demand and on-line.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and assistance in the development of instructional media design packages, training program structure documents and other necessary training elements as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services industry, preferably in independent financial advisor space
  • Previous experience in training or support
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative, function independently, and work in a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects while ensuring that goals are met
  • Professionally represent business to external clientele through face-to-face meetings, presentations, and other communications
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice-to-have

  • Series 7 license preferred
  • Familiarity with RBC platforms and offerings preferred

The expected salary range for this particular position is $65,000-$115,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
