Position Summary: The Senior Manager Training Scheduling oversees the scheduling of learners and resources for JetBlue University (JBU) training using a compliance-focused and data-driven approach. The Senior Manager will partner closely with the Enterprise Planning (EP), training records and JBU administration teams, JBU colleges, and operating teams to ensure all scheduling needs are met. This training includes traditional training delivered in the classroom or simulator by JBU instructors as well as training and evaluation that occurs in the operation - also known as Operating Experience (OE). Lastly, the Senior Manager oversees the training sales team which attempts to identify external buyers for JetBlue training resources when they are not in use for JetBlue training. Essential Responsibilities:
- Leads development of efficient schedules for all trainees, instructors, check airmen, OE evaluators and other training resources such as classrooms and simulators in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company requirements
- Utilizes historic resource utilization and productivity metrics to forecast future resource needs and training capacity, in collaboration with the respective training manager or operating team
- Collaborates with training records, training delivery, and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) teams to ensure that learners are scheduled according to qualification and regulatory requirements
- Consults with learning design and technology team to create scheduling footprints which make optimal use of resources
- Oversees day-to-day schedule management including room, device, instructor, and learner changes
- Participate in Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) planning and negotiations as necessary
- Oversees documentation of training scheduling and planning processes and ensures that these processes are executed consistently
- Drives the evolution of the scheduling process using technology resources and process design, including implementation of automated solutions for recurring processes
- Assists analysts in preparing business cases and analysis in support of training resource initiatives, root cause determination and continuous process improvement/optimization, as well as executive reports/presentations for senior leadership
- Leads team of training schedulers, OE coordinators and analysts including selection, performance management, and mentoring
- Supports the delivery of an exceptional learner experience
- Oversee training sales team in their work to sell JetBlue training services and lease time on unused devices
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Five (5) years of applied experience with logistics or planning
- One (1) year of applied experience with analytics and databases
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and consult with internal customers and colleagues to drive business results
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex problems and make sound decisions under significant time constraints
- Strong proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience with process documentation and process improvement implementation
- Solid knowledge of Scheduling Systems
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five (5) years' training scheduling experience
- Regulatory or airline experience
- Experience utilizing commercial electronic scheduling software (especially MINT Training Management System or similar)

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
