SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The Senior Commercial Sales Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic insights and performance optimization across the Commercial Bank. This position is responsible for delivering high-impact analytics, executive-level reporting, and performance measurement to support sales leadership and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical acumen, business intuition, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Executive Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations summarizing Commercial Bank performance across key categories, including sales, pipeline, and revenue metrics.

  • Sales Pipeline Analytics: Analyze and interpret Commercial Sales pipeline data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights to sales leadership and stakeholders.

  • Incentive Plan Support: Collaborate with Finance and Sales Enablement teams to support the annual Commercial Incentive Plan goal-setting and budgeting process.

  • Performance Metrics Development: Develop, maintain, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for Commercial Banking, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational priorities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Commercial Sales Enablement team to deliver insights that enhance sales effectiveness and drive business growth.

  • Business Intelligence Support: Contribute to the broader Commercial Business Intelligence function by supporting data governance, reporting automation, and strategic analytics initiatives.

  • Lead small initiatives for Commercial Bank, as needed, with a group of key stakeholders, facilitating calls, capturing action items, driving teams forward, and ensuring department goals are met.

  • Perform research and gather data from various external and internal sources in order to provide strategic insight.

  • Provide support for communication to the commercial bank division, professionally written and formatted.

  • Takes ownership of routine issues within the Commercial Line of Business; compiles and analyzes data to provide actionable information, insights, and solutions to key stakeholders.

  • Participates in planning and implementation of projects that support the sales organization.

  • Collaborate with team members and members of other departments to support the business in all areas of reporting, data, research, and communications.

  • Assure all confidential information is properly safeguarded in accordance with Bank policies.

OTHER DUTIES

COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in Business Analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau

  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong banking knowledge

  • Strong mathematic abilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience: 10+ years of Banking Experience, preferably in a Commercial Bank setting

  • Knowledge: Very strong analytical skills, Strong interpersonal skills, proficient computer skills, ability to multitask and prioritize projects

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

  • On the job training and any additional training as needed (i.e. MS Power BI, MS Excel, Report Writing and Processing Program, General Ledger and Financial Reporting Program, MS Access, and Core Processing System). Required annual compliance training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
