Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)

Type: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time

Compensation: $115,450.00-$121,809.02/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a detail-driven and decisive Quality Manager (QM) who thrives on precision, compliance, and excellence. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the full Quality Management System (QMS) for a critical government contract, ensuring every standard, objective, and regulation is met without compromise. You'll safeguard contract compliance, monitor performance, and lead to quality initiatives that keep service delivery at the highest level. If you take pride in enforcing standards, solving problems with a methodical approach, and communicating quality with clarity.

Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team's success are dependent on the leadership team's efforts. The success of this position will draw from Tessera's leadership competencies: Mission and Values: Safety Leadership; Operations Excellence; Customer Service; and Servant Leadership.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develops, implements, and rigorously enforces a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to the specific requirements of the government contract.

  • Possess full authority and responsibility for assuring all contract performance objectives, information requirements, and standards are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Establishes and maintains a direct reporting line to a senior corporate official, ensuring independent quality oversight and decision-making, separate from the Project Manager.

  • Maintains a consistent on-site presence during the Government's regular working hours to actively monitor and manage quality operations.

  • Leads to the identification, documentation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues.

  • Conducts regular quality audits, inspections, and reviews to identify potential risks, non-conformances, and areas for improvement.

  • Prepares, maintains, and submits all required quality-related documentation, reports, and certifications to both internal stakeholders and the Government client.

  • Drives initiatives for continuous improvement within the QMS and overall contract performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Maintenance, Quality Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • 5-8 Years of experience in Quality Management or closely related industry.

  • Must possess a current CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) certification

  • Experience in preparing, implementing, and enforcing Quality Management System (QMS) programs on government contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex quality concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Available and able to return to the contract site within two (2) hours of a government request made outside of regular working hours.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
