Hill International is seeking a Construction Coordinator I in Miami, Florida
- Coordinate and monitor construction activities for assigned education facility projects.
- Assist in reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents for compliance with SREF and local codes.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and progress reports; identify and resolve delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, architects, engineers, and school district representatives.
- Conduct site visits to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project plans.
- Support procurement processes and ensure contractor prequalification per Broward County School Board requirements.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
- Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives in alignment with district goals.
- Monitor contractor performance and safety compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and document progress.
- Assist with issue resolution and punch list completion.
- Maintain daily logs and communicate field updates to PMs.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum 2 years in construction coordination, project management, or related role.
- Experience with educational or commercial construction projects is preferred.
- Valid Florida Class E Driver's License.
- PMP, CAPM, LEED Accreditation, or similar certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e-Builder/Trimble Unity Construct, Primavera P6, Bluebeam) is preferred.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to analyze schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Familiarity with SREF, Florida Building Code, and Broward County School Board standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to conduct on-site inspections, including walking, standing, and climbing ladders as needed.
