Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Manager - Operating Room.

In this role, the successful candidate This position is responsible for directing the fiscal operations and Inventory Management for Facilities Operations, which includes managing and preparing budgets, variance reporting, purchasing, inventory systems, and reports, analyzing usage and trends, and overseeing inventory-related processes. Coordinating physical inventory counts with departmental managers in line with Facilities Management stock and hospital operations and conducting inventory balancing and reconciliation. Oversee additional staff as the program expands. Exercises sound judgment in all job duties. Plans and prioritizes inventory control management and financial operations according to departmental specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Manages daily processing of accounts payables and internal cost allocations and meets financial obligations.

Ensures high standard expense reviews, documentation compliance with contract terms and industry best practices

Monitors monthly budget performance and produces variance analysis for management review.

Compiles and analyzes financial information for ad hoc management requests or routine reviews.

Works closely with others within the department and organization to implement process and systems enhancements to improve operational efficiencies and reporting.

Preparation of the division's annual operating budget, coordinating with the Senior Director, Vice President, and shop managers on spending levels and anticipated expenses.

Oversee additional staff as the program expands.

Assist in onboarding new vendors and ensuring compliance with Enterprise requirements,

Work with the Senior Director to create and enhance Department policies and employee documentation, i.e., driver's licenses and certification updates.

Support assigned hospital clinical spaces in preparation for regulatory, safety, and compliance evaluations, with (weekly) rounding and customer service check in's (monthly)

Assist the Senior Director with the creation, implementation, and continuation of team building and employee appreciation initiatives.

Provides leadership and direction related to finance operations functions across multiple cost centers within the LI Facilities Operations division

Assist Long Island Community Hospital Facilities Operations with financial documentation, budget, vendor and contract best practices, and other integration challenges.

Collaborate with Patient Transport and our bed vendor on appropriate bed utilization and storage

At the Senior Director and VP's request, manage minor projects from inception to completion.

Develop and manage inventory database for Facilities Management Dept.

Direct, guide, and implement inventory management techniques for effective inventory control

Track invoices and packing slips, ensuring a three-way match on all invoices.

Develop and implement departmental performance improvement activities and encourage ongoing staff participation.

Participate in various committee as needed

Provide instructions and in-services in new products, procedures, and equipment to prevent resource loss and maintain safety.

Assures that the department's financial and inventory management operations comply with the standards set by regulatory agencies, such as the state Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, and Enterprise policy.

Through professional growth, keep abreast of ever-changing financial operations and inventory management technology.

Key Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and senior leadership in a

highly matrixed organization

Strong communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills

Prepare executive summaries, presentations and analyses

Proficiency with data analytics; excel, power point and financial modeling skills

Proven ability to develop and manage a team

Comfortable with ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment

Discipline, maturity and composure to model superb professionalism within a

Demanding environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree is preferred.
Certified Materials Resource Professional certification preferred.
More than 7 years of full-time work experience preferably in a large organization supporting facilities operations and/or experience in management, finance, administrative functions and project management, and supervisory experience.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,258.68 - $103,950.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
