Sr. Maintenance Technician - JLL

What this job involves: This position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial, commercial, and some residential equipment sitewide with a moderate to high percentage of hands-on "wrench time." The role requires high technical expertise across multiple disciplines including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, lighting, mechanical, HVAC, and machinist functions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • * Oversee preventative maintenance programs, including scheduling with minimal building service disruption

  • * Perform and delegate maintenance tasks while ordering required parts and maintaining inventory

  • * Maintain facility relations through prompt, courteous response to client requests within JLL guidelines

  • * Review and analyze system data to develop maintenance recommendations with Chief Engineer

  • * Maintain complete system documentation and update preventative maintenance procedures

  • * Monitor contractor work quality and assist with annual contractor reviews

  • * Mentor junior technicians and provide professional feedback on maintenance procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • * High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • * 4+ years relevant experience in building engineering with strong technical machinery background

  • * Expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, equipment repair and maintenance

  • * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and co-workers

  • * Proficiency in computer software programs including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • * Safety-minded approach and ability to maintain clean, safe workplace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • * Experience working in greenhouse environments

  • * Experience with greenhouse climate systems

  • * Electrical experience and wire running capabilities

  • * Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments

  • * Experience operating electric hand tools and motor vehicles

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Ability to visually inspect machinery and buildings.

  • Takes great notes Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.

  • Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 60 lbs repeatedly. Able to work on roofs of buildings - able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.

  • Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.

  • Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate a motor vehicle.

Location: Onsite - Woodland, CA

Work Shift: 3rd Shift, Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-7:00am (emergency after hours may be required)

Estimated compensation for this position:

50,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
