ABOUT THE JOB The Marketing Services Specialist coordinates marketing and communication tools to promote Helena products and internal communications. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Develops and executes marketing and advertising plans and materials such as: radio spots, flyers, brochures, direct mail, statement stuffers, guides, co-promotional materials, billboards, program sheets, posters, print advertisements, digital advertisements, testimonials, videos, e-mail blasts, website and social media to support products.
- Develops marketing, advertising and communication materials for managers.
- Works with publications to promote Helena's image and products.
- Provides writing, content and messaging support to facilitate strong, effective and meaningful communication via advertising and internal communication to support products.
- Assists in identifying market opportunities and segments through research data to develop brand planning and communication initiatives.
- Coordinates tradeshow initiatives with staffing schedules, training on messages, marketing content, graphic creation, vendor management and shipping and logistics issues.
- Handles communication requests from field, division, business unit and corporate.
- Assists with editorial and graphics for electronic advertising and video.
- Works with collateral material fulfillment vendor to manage inventory and ensures efficient delivery of materials to the salesforce.
- Monitors communication trends and makes recommendations to enhance delivery Helena messaging.
- Works with vendors to investigate best promotional options and evaluates quotes.
- Coordinates the efforts in constructing and installing displays.
- Establishes and controls related budgets.
- May be required to operate a company vehicle.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
- Reliable and regular attendance is required.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, agricultural communications or public relations is required.
- One year of related work experience is required.
- Agricultural experience is preferred.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to collaborate and develop large scale marketing plans.
- Written and verbal communication skills required to work with Scientists, Brand Managers and Sales team to create technical fliers, articles and social media posts.
- Advanced computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, One Drive, One Note, and Excel are required.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Photographic and Video ability and knowledge required.
- Ability to effectively review, develop and assess graphic designs and layouts.
- Travel by various means up to 15% of the time.
- Valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
- Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet.
