This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces, and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Senior Operator I (Para-Professional & Support Path) is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will manage resources and monitor quality, requiring strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities. In addition, responsibilities include operating and supporting Auto Process functions such as washing, Pointing, dry filming, material issuance, and various utility duties. Specifics include:
Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processes
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
Manage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis
Make minor decisions within the task scope, requiring technical skills and problem-solving
Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations to align with business objectives and drive excellence
Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing training
Commit to regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Work Hours: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 3:00 PM EST - 11:00 PM EST
