Job Details

The Zeltner lab has three jobs available. A non-tenure track research scientist will be the faculty's right hand, being involved with several projects, coordinating research projects and mentoring students. A postdoctoral fellow will utilize human pluripotent stem cells to model diseases of the peripheral nervous system or the adrenal gland. A lab manager is needed, who will manage lab affairs, do routine experiments and assist the faculty member. https://zeltnerlab.uga.edu

Company
The Zeltner lab has three main research interests, with the common goal to advance the understanding of human disorders and find novel treatments. We are using human pluripotent stem cells to generate cell types specifically affected in disorders of the peripheral nervous system (PNS). These cells are utilized to establish human in vitro disease models to gain molecular mechanistic insight into the diseases. We are particularly focused on elucidating how organismal stress, such as trauma affects the cells of the PNS with the goal to discover novel treatments for patients with stress related disorders.
