Responsibilities

Join the Design Engineering Software (DES) team based in Santa Rosa, CA. From there collaborate with colleagues all over the world to generate awareness, preference, and qualified leads for Keysight Electronic Design Automation (EDA), the world's leading provider of communications design software tools.

Keysight EDA software tool suite is used to design components in cell phones, wearable electronics, air/cockpit communications, space exploration communications, high-speed digital signal paths in modern computers, and radar and military communications. As a product marketing engineer, you will be a critical part of this exciting and growing market.

This internship is for an entry-level product management intern and it requires a unique combination of technical, business, and verbal/written communication skills. In this role, you will be a part of the power electronics business segment at the Keysight's DES group. You will be working with Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS) software and PEPro in switched-mode power supply applications. As an intern you will work on various projects from creating application content (papers/videos) to creating training material for our customers and sales organization. The power electronics group is a very small and agile team so expect to work in a startup type of environment. You will learn about switched-mode power supply design and gain real world marketing experience in the growing field of power electronics.

We are looking for an individual with experience in power converter design. If you have prior experience with designing switched-mode power supplies in analog circuit simulation tools, it is a plus. You will be working to design and model power converters, transformers, switching devices and more in Keysight's ADS simulation platform. Course work and background in power electronics is a must. Strong communication skill is desired.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with product manager to understand the technical capabilities of new products to effectively market products and solutions to customers.
  • Be a key contributor in technical product work including application notes, datasheets, product overview presentations, and technical articles.
  • Produce technical demo and product overview videos to explain software products and solutions.

The Challenge:

  • Find new business. The world is changing and we need your help. You will use your technical background and understanding of engineering to collect metrics, ask questions, research options, and work on new projects as part of the marketing programs team to help generate new business for Keysight EDA.
  • Drive change. We want you to come up with new ideas and insights for our marketing programs. You will need critical thinking skills to present data in a positive and collaborative way such that you can achieve support and buy-in across the organization.
  • Bring energy. We want someone with a positive energetic attitude who is willing to learn marketing skills and work as part of a dynamic team.

We want someone who understands the fundamentals of electrical engineering, enjoys talking to people, and is interested in learning the world of marketing. If you would like to increase your technical knowledge, develop professional and leadership skills, and begin a great career at Keysight, then this job is for you.
