Join us as our new Fermentation Coordinator We are seeking a Fermentation Coordinator who will improve team efficiency by giving support both operationally and administratively. You'll be a problem solver, optimizer, collaborator, trainer, and team player. In this role you'll make an impact by:
- Contributing to the Site Leadership Team by applying continuous improvement methodologies and technical expertise to:
- Deliver proactive solutions to operational challenges.
- Improve processes to deliver efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with supervision to optimize equipment and operator performance.
- Drive reduction of quality non-conformities.
- Troubleshoot and/or identify equipment failures or problems.
- Act as liaison between planning/scheduling and production with support of scheduling.
- Support inter-departmental improvements between Fermentation and other supporting departments as needed including Warehouse, QC, QO, Engineering, and Maintenance.
- Developing, implementing, and upkeep of comprehensive training plans for the purpose of onboarding new employees and progressing the development of current ones.
- Supporting establishing standards for training and records maintenance, writes procedures, coordinates training events and assists in training.
- Leveraging systems & data from Excel and SAP to drive decisions and improvements on the floor.
- Assisting others as required by production demands or by direction of management. This may include:
- Operating equipment as needed to achieve on time deliveries.
- Using SAP to confirm goods, move materials, request materials, and review historical information on materials.
- Delivering shift communications and reporting
- Serving as backup to the Lead Operator and Supervisor as needed.
To succeed you must hold:
- HS diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience in a production environment preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English with the ability to effectively communicate oral and written information and respond to questions from managers and other employees in a professional manner.
- Fully trained expert in all production areas of responsibility.
- Possess a working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs and ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Know how to read and interpret process flow diagrams looking for potential improvements.
- Possess working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and their application.
- Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, scoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move materials up to 55 lbs. with occasional assisted lifting up to 100 lbs.
