Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Mid-Level Platform Stores Integration Engineer to support the Advanced Development Platform Stores Integration Engineer for the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The purpose of this position is to provide management of the integration of Advanced Systems with the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft systems. The incumbent performs as weapon/store integration engineer responsible for assigning, managing, and coordinating engineering and integration tasks with the PMA-265 Weapon Systems Integration and Advanced Systems APMSE(s). The incumbent works across a complex system of system security environment that supports fully informed integration requirements definition, integration activity planning and scheduling, budget projections, and capability delivery.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) & Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads with identifying & developing systems engineering and platform integration requirements, and ensuring these requirements are addressed in the Store Integration Plan (SIP) throughout the program development, integration, and test
  • Supporting the Interface Control Working Group (ICWG), developing and updating system interface control documents (ICDs)
  • Tailoring & implementing the Airworthiness processes, managing & coordinating with NAVAIR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Technical Program Office (TPO) and Prime Contractor representatives as required for Store Certification data and the review & approval of Technical Data Package (TDP) deliverables
  • Conceiving, planning, organizing, and leading weapons and store integration activities. This includes conducting engineering analyses, test and evaluation of weapon systems, related subsystems and components. Projects cover the entire life cycle and acquisition phases from concept development and testing to production and decommissioning.
  • Providing technical support for the development & platform integration Statement of Work (SOW);
  • Providing technical leadership in responding to test and integration deficiencies

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: Must hold a BA/BS degree in a technical field or scientific field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum years of experience:
    • At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description is required. Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Key Skills:
    • Experience that demonstrates technical savvy to understand and interpret technically related concepts, approaches, and capabilities showing an understanding of system of systems interaction of various components and project their influence overall.
    • Experience that demonstrates an understanding of program schedules and planning timelines including requirements generation and the inputs required to build a successful program.
    • Experience that demonstrates knowledge of how various systems trades will influence the end user experience.
    • Experience that demonstrates creating a vision for a capability or product that doesn't exist today, and extensive planning and staffing necessary to see it come to fruition.
    • Must have weapons and store integration experience.
    • Highly desired to have airworthiness experience and be familiar with NAVAIR airworthiness requirements, flight clearances, and safety of flight.
    • Experience with F/A-18 and EA-18G Growler aircraft is highly desired.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Compensation:

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation for internal positions is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, performance, and role requirements. The salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 with final compensation determined by individual qualifications and internal equity considerations.

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
