Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects during periods of transition or increased demand, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with organizational goals and client expectations. This role oversees project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline management, while coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. The Interim Project Manager identifies and mitigates risks, manages stakeholder communications, and implements process improvements to enhance project efficiency. This position prepares detailed project reports, maintains accurate documentation, and supports the transition to permanent project leadership.

This position works a sporadic and fluctuating schedule for a variety of clients, based on the client's needs each week.

Job Duties:



  • Communicates and oversees the project plan making updates in collaboration with the management team
  • Manages tasks closely both for completion and time management
  • Gathers deliverables and distributes project documents appropriately
  • Documents information from internal project meetings
  • Identifies and tracks any gaps or issues in the project
  • Schedules meetings with the client management team and the project team
  • Resolves issues by providing recommendations to clients as well as escalating any issues to management when needed
  • Provides regular status updates on the implementation
  • Prepares and distributes change management and project communications

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Project Management, , required


Experience:



  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience as a Project Manager, required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams, required
  • Experience managing projects in a contract or consulting environment, preferred
  • Experience in a professional services environment, preferred


License/Certifications:



  • Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred


Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), preferred

Software:



  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet), required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • ERP experience preferred


Language:



  • N/A

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong project planning, scoping, and management skills
  • Strong business process analysis & design and process flow skills

  • Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
  • Capable of successfully multi-tasking while working independently or within a group environment
  • Capable of working well under pressure while dealing with unexpected problems in a professional manner



Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $75/hr - $105/hr
Maryland Range: $75/hr - $105/hr
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75/hr - $105/hr
