We are currently seeking a Project Director, Strategy and Optimization, an integral role that will shape and guide our project management strategy through optimization initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and improve client satisfaction. Your expertise will be vital in aligning project objectives with overall company goals, ensuring that our projects are executed with precision and excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your strategic vision to streamline processes, minimize risks, and secure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage assigned simple to complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and/or collaborate on effective change management approach to support implementation and monitoring for success.
- Engage in and/or lead process optimization activities.
- Develop and maintain timelines and monitor budget status.
- Assess project progress and performance. Communicate status, risk, and mitigation plans to a variety of audiences, including executives.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and summarize findings in a clear, concise format.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication among team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and corporate functions.
- Lead or contribute to development or improvement of standard operational procedures and other process documents and tools.
- Liaise with IT to communicate technical project requirements. Contribute to and may lead and oversee user acceptance testing activities.
- Develop or collaborate on operational process or technical training content. Experience with varied training delivery modes and can identify appropriate approach based on topic and audience.
- Manage centralized activities such as resource management.
- May lead or serve as a member of governance teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or healthcare along with at least 8 years of experience in clinical research within a CRO or pharmaceutical company, including both experience in clinical operations or project management and 2 years of experience working within a project management office or equivalent structure developing and improving processes and managing functional and enterprise projects.
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trial processes and solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., GCP, ICH).
- Advanced skills with effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, including ability to tailor content based on audience and effectively report on progress across functions and executive leadership; excellent collaboration skills and able to drive stakeholder alignment.
- Strong process documentation skills and experience with process mapping.
- Knowledge of and experience with implementing process improvement strategies; Prefer experience with lean practices.
- Strong training delivery skills and experience delivering training to a wide variety of operational functions using varied methods.
- Strong technical skills and ability to identify ways in which technology can enable processes; proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio) and ability to learn new technologies and software.
