About the role

Axle Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analytics Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world transportation and logistics challenges, contributing directly to our operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

What you'll do

  • Gain exposure to the supply chain industry, specifically third-party logistics
  • Develop business analytics skills
  • Learn various sales skills - visualization software, operating systems, automation
  • Build a board of directions (business network) throughout the summer
  • Participate in a community service activity to cultivate community awareness and the growing needs of surrounding neighborhoods

Qualifications

  • Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Data Analysis Tools: Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with:
    • SQL: Ability to write and understand basic to intermediate queries for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in using advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting) for data modeling and analysis.
    • Power BI (or similar BI Tool): Familiarity with building basic dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Proven ability to quickly learn complex business processes and translate raw data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical findings.
