*Description*
The Technical Assistance Specialist role will conduct training and outreach, providing one-on-one support, and serving as a liaison between participants, and heir technical vendors. The ideal candidate will have: *Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills *Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders *Experience working directly with end users in a support or training capacity *Understanding of general healthcare IT systems *Knowledge of HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance as they relate to EHR systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE) *Experience developing training materials or end user reports *Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences *Experience working with EHR systems and/or health data exchange platforms *Familiarity with NC HealthConnex or similar HIE systems *Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards *A focus on documentation and process improvement Duties include but are not limited to: *Serve as a point of contact for healthcare participants, providing one-on-one guidance on how to access and utilize Health services *Coordinate communications and issue resolution between participants, their technical vendors, and HIEA's technical partners (SAS and J2 Interactive) *Facilitate technical onboarding, implementation follow-ups, and troubleshooting support *Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions to educate participants on Health functionality, policies, and best practices. *Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all technical assistance (TA) interactions and support activities. *Develop and update technical assistance resources, including user guides, FAQs, training materials, and presentations. *Contribute to continuous improvement of technical assistance processes based on participant feedback and common issues. *Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams including participants, EHR vendors, data architects, developers, analysts, and clinical stakeholders to support the technical assistance team's data quality and system reliability work. Education: *Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience *2+ years of experience in technical assistance, provider support, healthcare IT, or health information exchange environments. *Skills* clinical coding, data, Outreach coordinator *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
