Position Title: Shipping Lead
Wage: $20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3:30pm Join this team as a Shipping Lead, where your attention to detail and organizational skills keep operations running smoothly. You'll play a key role in ensuring every shipment leaves on time, accurately, and in perfect condition. This position is ideal for someone with shipping experience who's confident using computers and enjoys taking ownership of a fast-paced, hands-on role. This is an associate to hire opportunity for a company in Leawood, KS. Shipping Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Coordinate and lead daily shipping activities to ensure all outgoing orders are prepared and shipped correctly - Verify shipment accuracy, including product quantities, packaging, and labeling - Prepare and print shipping documents, bills of lading, and tracking labels - Schedule carrier pickups and communicate with shipping partners as needed - Enter and update shipment data in company systems with a high degree of accuracy - Monitor inventory levels for shipping materials and report shortages promptly - Maintain a clean and organized shipping area in compliance with safety and company standards Shipping Lead Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods - Must be able to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds as needed - Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials - Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may vary in temperature - Ability to use a computer and handheld scanning equipment for data entry and tracking - 1+ year of shipping or warehouse experience required - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Comfortable using computers and basic shipping software or ERP systems - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - No forklift certification required QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
