Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Equipment Maintenance PM Technician in its plastics manufacturing plant. Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for preventative maintenance of state-of-the-art Injection Molding Machines, Custom Automation and support equipment. Other tasks include repair and recommending/implementing upgrades to production equipment.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Performs PM tasks to return production equipment as per planned schedule.
  • Utilize schematics, prints, and work instructions to maintain and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic assemblies as required.
  • Repair hydraulic systems on injection molding machinery.
  • Calibrate injection molding equipment to run a peak performance.
  • Repair and service secondary equipment associated with injection molding.
  • PM and repair equipment for the central blending system.
  • Ensure PM documentation is accurate and completed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift and assemble machine components, 70 pound maximum, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and varying technical ability levels
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic computer programs (Email, Microsoft Office, Etc.).
  • Ability to operate machine tools, such as a drill press, bench grinder, band saw
  • Self-managed and motivated individual who can work well within a team environment.
  • Provide and understand the value of excellent customer service.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a manufacturing field.
  • Trade school education.
  • 5+ years' experience in the repair of automated machinery.
  • High voltage electrical skills, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge is a PLUS.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous plastics manufacturing experience.
