Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Plays a key role in configuring, enhancing, and supporting various Workday modules, including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent/Performance, Benefits, and HCM Integrations.
- Manages and administers Workday security groups, foundational tables, and Workday inbound and outbound HCM integrations.
- Partners and consults closely with leaders, business, and support teams to understand system end-user needs and provide recommendations to keep Workday business processes simple and efficient. Communicates system-related enhancements, releases, and upgrades.
- Leads continuous improvement projects, such as improving Workday processes, workflows, integrations, and data integrity.
- Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HCM.
- Manages Workday releases and updates, which include researching functionality, conducting testing, and communicating options for changes or enhancements, as applicable.
- Provides end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance, and escalation management, using ticketing or tracking systems. Monitors recurring issues, system, data, or process gaps, and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
- Broadens internal knowledge of Workday through job aids and other training materials.
- Regularly supports People & Talent initiatives and projects by researching technology solutions and executing deliverables on time.
- Works closely with other team members to brainstorm, strategize, and complete ad hoc requests creatively, effectively, and efficiently.
- Serves as subject matter expert, mentors team members, and assists with training new team members.

- Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Salt Lake City, Utah area within 90 days of offer acceptance.
- Ability to work on-site at the Salt Lake City office four (4) days per week, with the option of working remotely on Fridays as scheduled by the department.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Experience
- 5 years of Human Resources, HRIS, or Data Analytics related experience, including project coordination/management experience.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining HRIS/HCM systems.
- Experience leading HRIS projects, including implementations, integration builds, functionality enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
As a Senior HRIS Analyst at WGU, you will be the Workday technical expert driving innovation and efficiency across our People Tech ecosystem. This role is pivotal in expanding our Workday Extend and Orchestrate capabilities, enabling us to fully leverage the Extend Pro package and deliver transformative solutions for our growing organization. What You'll Do
- Configure, enhance, and support Workday HCM modules, including Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent/Performance, Benefits, and Integrations.

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience configuring and maintaining HRIS/HCM systems, preferably Workday.
- Proficiency in JSON and integration development.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with sensitive data and maintain confidentiality.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Workday certifications (Integrations, Studio, Core Connectors, etc.).
- Experience with Workday Extend or Orchestrate.
- HR certifications (PHR or SHRM-CP).
- Familiarity with XML editors like Oxygen or IntelliJ.
