Description Summary: The Design Intern will support the design team's mission to inspire curiosity and creativity in children and families by contributing to the development and enhancement of exhibits, educational materials, and interactive experiences. This position offers hands-on experience in exhibit design, informal education, and STEAM-focused programming. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and prototyping of interactive exhibit components Collaborate with design staff to create engaging visual and educational content for exhibits and programs. Participate in brainstorming sessions for new exhibit ideas and improvements. Document design in packages depending on project phase. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an industrial or graphic design, art, engineering, or related program. Passion for working with children and families in a creative, hands-on environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software) is a plus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Benefits: Mentorship from experienced museum professionals.
