The Materials Analyst Supervisor is a critical leadership position responsible for maintaining optimal material flow, inventory accuracy, and supply-chain efficiency across assigned value streams. This role combines daily operational support with strategic, project-based work focused on process optimization and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture while navigating competing priorities and addressing team concerns with empathy and clear communication.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams in a project-based capacity to achieve strategic material and supply chain objectives.
- Operational Support: Provide critical daily support for all materials and inventory-related processes within assigned market value streams, ensuring smooth operation.
- Inventory & Storage Management: Be directly involved in ensuring the efficient and compliant storage of all raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Cycle Count Process: Create, implement, and lead a robust cycle count program to ensure world-class inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Reporting & Analysis: Create and analyze complex reports to identify efficiencies, pinpoint deficiencies, and forecast future material needs and inventory risks.
- Process Optimization: Drive optimization initiatives for processes and warehouse organization to maximize space utilization and material handler productivity.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to increase overall productivity, material velocity, and service levels.
- Problem Solving: Utilize analytical and experiential knowledge to troubleshoot, define, and propose solutions for complex materials-related problems.
YOU HAVE:
Education & Experience
- Degree in business, supply chain, materials, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in business, materials, or supply chain management, including materials management and/or inventory control
- 2+ years in people leadership, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership & Change Management: Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members while driving process improvements and leading teams through organizational change
Skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and improving established processes through analytical problem-solving
- ERP System Proficiency: Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (JDE strongly preferred)
- Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, reporting, and analysis
- System Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of standard material processes and systems within a manufacturing or distribution setting
- Lean Material Flow Methodology: Familiarity with Lean principles and practices such as Kanban, supermarkets, kitting, or point-of-use storage.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $89,300.00 - $165,800.00
