KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Public Affairs to join our Corporate Affairs organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement public affairs strategies that advance KPMG's priorities and positioning with policymakers, industry leaders and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to long-term strategic initiatives that enhance the firm's visibility and influence in priority markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade associations, think tanks, media outlets and other policy influencers to represent the firm's perspectives and contribute to the public dialogue
  • Support and coordinate advocacy and engagement efforts, including third party engagement, coalition work and external event planning
  • Support the firm's thought leadership agenda by identifying and developing opportunities to showcase firm leaders' expertise in relevant topics across priority markets and at events with key audiences
  • Develop recommendations and provide timely insights around the implications of policy trends, regulatory changes and emerging risks
  • Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience in public affairs, political campaigns, public policy, or similar roles - preferably in Washington, DC
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state policy-making processes; understanding of the regulatory environment; demonstrated ability to engage effectively with policymakers, regulators, media and industry stakeholders
  • Experience managing events, advocacy and coalition efforts and related work; familiarity with issues affecting the professional services industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent research, writing, editing and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior executives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated political acumen, judgment and discretion in handling sensitive issues
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. California Salary Range: $87800 - $185000
