As a Senior Vice President, Pharmacy Services with CPS Solutions, LLC, you are responsible for both the strategic operational and business leadership of onsite pharmacy Directors at assigned accounts to include leadership development and client support, engagement and relationship building. In this role, you are the primary owner and are responsible for retaining and renewing CPS client contracts, optimizing and ensuring compliance with CPS client/pharmacy contracts, stakeholder relationships, and performance management of onsite operations team through the use of CPS Optimizer tool. Duties include supervising, supporting and holding site leaders accountable for various responsibilities within multiple acute care and non-acute assigned locations. You will support site level leaders with upselling CPS services within your service area. You'll provide support and leadership to onsite CPS Directors with client/associate relations and operations, including preliminary marketing due diligence, assisting in recruitment of personnel, determining that all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met and ensuring provision of optimal services to enhance financial performance. In this role, you will contribute to the quality and effective operation with both acute and behavioral health facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clinical
    • Works with Vice President of Clinical Services to develop and implement strategies that promote cost-effective, appropriate and safe drug use
    • Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective drug therapies are used for patients in facilities within assigned region. This is demonstrated by quarterly review of CPS analytics and assessment tools with Director of Pharmacy and Vice President of Clinical Services. Dates of review of these on each account by Senior Vice President is documented
    • The Senior Vice President is responsible for assuring analytics are updated monthly
    • Senior Vice President ensures that the clinical assessment has been updated at least quarterly and maintains a copy
  • Financial
    • Responsible for meeting or exceeding overall annual EBITDA goal for CPS and client budget goals/expectations at each client site
    • Prepares regional pharmacy budget annually
    • New account budget is prepared, submitted and approved within 30 days of start date of account
    • Reviews monthly financial statistics and monitors financial performance. Prepares objective data for account variances that are over/under budget during monthly finance call
    • Owns client retention and value proposition, plans and completes proformas completed for renewal well in advance of contract expiration. Leads the value proposition at each site to ensure contract renewal
    • Completes Proforma for additional services needed at an account. For example, if Corporate Director of Pharmacy is needed on site and expenses will be absorbed by CPS, the Senior Vice President prepares a detailed proforma to determine budgetary impact and presents this to the President, Pharmacy Services or Specialized Hospitals along with request for Corporate Director of Pharmacy or other personnel
    • Completes expense reports by specified dates per policy
  • Operational
    • Develops and implements a strategic plan for the region that supports the mission and goals of CPS
    • Oversee the successful implementation of CPS's regulatory, quality and compliance plans and are completed within required timeframes by site Directors using CPS Optimizer tool
    • Ensures Comprehensive Pharmacy Assessment (CPA) is completed biennially or as specified in the contract for each site and is accountable for compliance of CPS's regulatory and compliance contract obligations
    • Oversee Operations Metrics are updated monthly by site Directors for all accounts
    • Responsible for client retention, supports contract renewals and upselling of services
    • Establishes a close professional relationship with facility leadership utilizing CPS Core Value principles
    • Responsible for leading remote teams to include hiring, professional development, performance evaluation and corrective action of all staff directly reporting to the Senior Vice President
    • All communication needed for compliance, regulatory and quality are prepared and presented as requested by client including, but not limited to, Comprehensive Business Overviews
    • Assists and provides leadership support for Directors of Pharmacy in preparation for accreditation surveys
    • Lists accounts applicable during reporting period and assistance provided
    • Determines and maintains an appropriate staffing level showing actual results to budget within assigned facilities
    • Ensures that corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed
    • Establishes productive web of influence relationships with appropriate facility C-suite and other facility staff
  • Organizational
    • Performance indicates improved client satisfaction, concern for lower cost, and improvement in quality
    • Understands and meets internal and external client's needs and expectations
    • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
  • At least one active state pharmacist license
  • 10+ years of Pharmacy management experience
  • Ability to travel for business by air and car for varying lengths of time - up to 75% of the time
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy operating systems
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
