Overview and Responsibilities

The EduSTAT Project Director manages the federal grant project, Education and Support for Triaging and Accelerating Training in Rural Healthcare (EduSTAT in Rural Healthcare), funded through the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Strengthening Community Colleges Training (Round 3) program. The project is led by CVTC, but includes a regional consortium of three other Wisconsin technical colleges, as well as workforce and employer partners. Responsibilities include managing program budget and deliverables and cultivating strategic partnerships, as well as coordinating CVTC's local project activities.

Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership to the EduSTAT in Rural Healthcare teams across western Wisconsin.
  • Responsible for budget management, including budget revisions, which meet DOL and CVTC procurement and financial process specifications. Ensure all required programmatic and budget reports are submitted on time to DOL.
  • Ensure successful project implementation of the EduSTAT in Rural Healthcare grant over a four-year period, with programmatic deliverables on time and within budget, and activities completed as outlined in the project management plan.
  • Complete all required reporting to DOL, including quarterly performance and narrative reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow strategic private and public partnerships to cultivate strategic alliances and ensure partner retention.
  • Coordinate project evaluation with external evaluator to ensure effective and informative evaluation of the project and disseminate evaluation reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with college Marketing and Strategic Communications staff to generate positive publicity and interest in the project through public relations and marketing campaigns showcasing western Wisconsin's activities as a best practice for addressing the workforce gap in healthcare education.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DOL, three partner colleges, and other external partners. Provide monthly progress reports to consortium. Meet project objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Responsible for establishing and engaging a regional Rural Healthcare Learning Community comprised of regional healthcare providers and other related organizations.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, conferences, and communications between partners.
  • Provide direction to consultants engaged in project development and implementation.
  • Disseminate project results, key learning, and best practices at the regional, state, and national levels to inform rural healthcare workforce training and development.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements relative to federal grants or contracts, preferably with DOL.
  • Provide leadership for CVTC's local portion of the EduSTAT project, including collecting and reporting participant level data, collaborating with impacted college teams, and sharing results internally and at consortium meetings.
  • Oversee project-related rural outreach activities and coordinate with grant-funded staff as appropriate.

  • Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced (select level, delete others) knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Office 365 Suite.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of two year related work experience in project management.
  • Experience in education, workforce development, grant management, and federal regulations preferred.
