About the role:
As theSeniorManufacturing EngineeringManagerat Boston Scientificin Spencer, you will lead a dynamic teamof engineers and techniciansdedicated to delivering high-impact engineering support to ourCore Endoscopyproduction unit. You willbe responsible forguiding strategic initiatives that ensure equipment and processes are developed, qualified, andvalidatedforoptimalmanufacturability and product quality. In this leadership role, you will play a keypartin driving innovation, developing talent, andidentifyingopportunities for continuous improvement across our production landscape.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Recruits, develops, and coaches engineering talent while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team culture


  • Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to exempt specialists, supervisors, and non-exempt employees within the manufacturing engineering function


  • Coordinates departmental activities to ensure equipment and processes are designed,validated, andoptimizedfor efficient and compliant manufacturing


  • Drives a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and operational excellence tools


  • Identifiesand implements improvements in manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance product quality and operational efficiency


  • Demonstrates effectivechangeleadership while aligning with the company's mission, vision, and values


  • Builds andmaintainsstrong cross-functional partnerships to support business goals and strategic initiatives


  • Develops and enforces operational policies and ensures compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA, BSI, EEO)


  • Manages departmental budgets, resources, and operational plans to meet key performance objectives



Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree inan engineeringdiscipline


  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a related manufacturing or engineering role


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience ina supervisoryor management capacity


  • Demonstrated experience in project management and execution


  • Proventrack recordof successful leadership and team development


  • Experience with manufacturing process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., LEAN, DMAIC, VIP)



Preferred qualifications:



  • Master's degree in engineering or business


  • Experience in medical device manufacturing


  • Strong communicationskills and ability to influence across multiple organizational levels

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
