Role Purpose: This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of hyperscale and colocation data center programs across a dispersed portfolio. The role supports due diligence, transitions, quality assurance, operations and compliance of large-scale data centers with a primary focus on operational service delivery quality, reliability and client satisfaction in mission-critical environments. This role will report to the Executive Director, Head of Engineering Operations Americas, as part of the Center of Excellence team. What this job Involves: Key Responsibilities * Provide hyperscale and colocation operational direction and leadership at the account level to advance operational delivery quality for large-scale data center program management * Build and maintain strong working relationships with hyperscale clients and colocation providers, acting as subject matter expert in large-scale data center operations and reliability *Collaborate closely with the JLL Data Center Vertical team to align operational strategies with market intelligence, development opportunities, and capital markets insights *Work with JLL Data Center Vertical specialists to identify portfolio optimization opportunities and support client growth strategies across hyperscale and colocation environments * Implement standard business operating mechanisms including regular team meetings, strategic review forums, and analysis/reporting processes to ensure team alignment across multiple hyperscale and colocation facilities * Lead large teams through education and influence to optimize operational outcomes for hyperscale and colocation global programs * Drive operational excellence within critical hyperscale and colocation performance environments, managing multi-megawatt facilities and complex cooling systems * Support a culture of 100% data center uptime according to JLL contractual parameters, with particular focus on hyperscale SLA requirements and colocation service levels * Lead hyperscale and colocation site assessments, JCAP site assessments, and other on/off-site deliverables for clients and JLL * Provide account-specific hyperscale and colocation solutions and transition support for complex engagements and transformation programs in high-capacity environments *Partner with JLL Data Center Vertical on due diligence activities and strategic planning initiatives * Monitor hyperscale and colocation market trends to ensure JLL provides industry best practice in large-scale DC FM Operations delivery Desired experience and technical skills: * Minimum of 7-15 years data center operations experience with specific focus on hyperscale and/or colocation facilities * Thorough understanding of hyperscale infrastructure, colocation programs and systems related to large-scale operational delivery * Prior experience with development of hyperscale mission critical programs, procedures, and advanced DCIM/MCIM/CMMS systems for large facilities * Experience managing multi-tenant colocation environments and hyperscale capacity planning * Ability to articulate value proposition to hyperscale clients and colocation providers * Strong leadership capabilities to manage and influence large teams across multiple high-capacity facilities * Technical consulting and advisory skills specific to hyperscale and colocation operations Requirements: * Ability to interact with C-suite executives at hyperscale companies and colocation providers * Ability to interact with engineers and technicians managing large-scale, high-density computing environments * Position requires up to 40% travel across hyperscale and colocation portfolio Preferred: * Extensive experience with hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) * Background in colocation provider operations and multi-tenant facility management * Experience with hyperscale and colocation portfolio transitions and technical due diligence * Experience with risk management and technical training program development for large-scale operations * Knowledge of hyperscale power and cooling requirements, including liquid cooling systems * Familiarity with colocation billing systems, SLA management, and customer portal operations *Experience supporting data center acquisition, disposition, and development projects Estimated compensation for this position:181,250.00 - 265,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
