Milliman is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Health Research Team (HRT). The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing complex projects from start to finish, possess strong organizational skills, and exhibit excellent communication abilities. Projects will vary based on project type (both technical and non-technical), complexity, cost, business impact and project length. The Project Manager will develop and maintain project plans for multiple projects, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and lead ongoing meetings to coordinate various project team members and stakeholders. The person in this role will have direct daily client contact with numerous HRT colleagues, other Milliman professionals, and outside contacts. This position reports to the Health Research Team's Sr Manager, Operations. Who We Are The Health Research Team supports Milliman products and practices in a variety of capacities. These include but are not limited to financial functions, client support, project management, data engineering, and data analytics services.  Manage several concurrent projects of varying complexity and length, adapting project management style based on the needs of the team.Create detailed project plans including requirements, priorities, deliverables, schedule, budget, issues/risks, resources, etc.Organize and drive productive project meetings, guide conversations, and ensure accountability for timelines, deliverables and next steps.Closely monitor projects to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, and develop according to plan. Hold internal constituents at all levels at all levels accountable for timelines and commitments.Synthesize complex concepts into easily understood ideas and translate technical terms and processes into "business speak". Function as a knowledgeable liaison between technical team members and other key business stakeholders.Communicate and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.Participate in developing project management processes and tools. Implement and maintain efficient workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy.Learn our business, products, clientele, partners, and internal teams.Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.  Minimum requirements 
  
 5+ years of professional experience in project management, preferably in a project-based environment. Previous experience in healthcare, data, and consulting is beneficial.Project management certification is required (PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, etc.).Bachelor's degree is preferred in business administration, operations management, project management, or related field. Commensurate work experience will be considered.Experience building and maintaining project plans within a project management tool such as JIRA, monday.com, Smartsheet, or ClickUp.Ability to comfortably lead/facilitate meetings by asking value-add questions and providing meaningful input.Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects with attention to project deadlines; skilled at adjusting priorities and working under pressure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Detailed-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Thrives in a fast-paced environment.Strong decision-making skills, with the capacity to evaluate options and make sound judgments independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.

 Location: This role is based out of the Milliman office in Chicago, IL, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US or in the office on a weekly basis with flexible work arrangements.
