JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Quality Analyst will be responsible for executing the strategic and operational deliverables in support of multiple organizations within the Doble Community (Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Care). The Manufacturing Quality Analyst is recognized as an expert in the principles and application of quality assurance and compliance relating to electromechanical manufacturing. The Manufacturing Quality Analyst is familiar with the importance of providing feedback throughout the managed processes assuring process control and compliance of materials and products manufactured internally and externally. The Manufacturing Quality Analyst adapts to new and multiple projects, effectively ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Manufacturing Quality Analyst is responsible for establishing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to establish process controls and measure attainment to the controls. The Manufacturing Quality Analyst is required to ensure full support to our suppliers related to manufacturing and design changes so they can provide a timely and effective implementation to meet Doble's requirements. This position will coordinate or execute activities on multiple complex projects and takes a role in the qualification, development and manufacturability of material and products delivered to Doble for both mature products as well as new products globally. Specifically, the Manufacturing Quality Analyst will work closely with cross functional teams both at Doble and at Doble's suppliers to ensure successful delivery of short term and long-term Quality goals and objectives, while aligning operational functions to meet business needs. This position will lead, develop, implement and manage the quality systems to ensure the safety, repeatability, and continuous improvement of process, products and customer satisfaction. Oversight of product compliance requirements and related documentation will also be a responsibility of this role. This role will be based in our Marlborough, MA office reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Support quality initiatives across multiple sites, including suppliers, QA, QC and others as assigned, ensuring team's successful delivery and achievement of business goals.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple priorities in support of manufacturing and testing of Doble's products.
  • Understand the importance of metrics (KPI's Key performance Indicators) as related to SPC (Statistical Process Control) to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support Quality programs and systems, recommending and implementing improvements and efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Drive the development and documentation of Quality procedures, policies, protocols and standards to support GxP activities.
  • Support quality activities to ensure effectiveness and compliance, such as document and change control procedures, deviations, and corrective action/preventative action.
  • Drive internal activities to support compliance and audit readiness in close collaboration with all company stakeholders.
  • Create the necessary quality documentation to support the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure that the company's QMS adheres to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Maintain the internal audit program to verify QA's QMS.
  • Track, analyze and report on a wide range of metrics on a regular basis in addition to ad hoc reporting. Must be able to utilize a broad range of data tools with a high level of skill. Tools to include Salesforce, ERP Navision Data Warehouse, Excel, and other quality tracking reporting tools.
  • Oversee Quality audits/inspections (internal and external) and provide executive summaries to management.
  • Perform formal risk assessments internally, as well as with selected contract providers. determine audit intervals and establish level of risk.
  • Manage and report on vendor quality and oversee GxP audit responsibilities contracted to outside vendors.
  • Demonstrate effective cross functional skills in actions, communications, and management practices, while maintaining a strong customer focused approach
  • Develop, conduct, and monitor internal GxP training for employees.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 5 years in a global Quality organization in lieu of a degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • Requires 3 or more years as in a global Quality organization.
  • Must have proven continuous improvement and problem-solving experience in complex manufacturing and service environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO9000, ISO14000, ISO17025, European conformance (CE) standards, product directives (RoHS, WEEE), and other compliance requirements. Ability to communicate with registrars as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated individual who can work in a team environment, as well as make independent decisions.
  • Experience working in the utility or electronics industry, in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to project a positive example for others to follow.
  • Experience developing, documenting and implementing processes and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
