BCCI, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Field Engineer in Los Angeles CA.

Th Field Engineer reports to the Director of Field Operations. Acts as a liaison between the Field and Office to provide support to Superintendents and project teams. Visits job sites to audit drawings, submittals, RFIs and to offer assistance where needed, drafting a site check report to update team on project status. Assist the Field Operations Managers and the Field Operations team with departmental meetings, training initiatives, event planning and department administration. Role is utilized to increase project site efficiency, productivity and ensure project and safety documentation are in place and in full compliance. In addition, the role is used to enhance project communication between departments.

Key Skills:
* Strong computer skills are necessary to support multiple teams
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, CMiC, and Bluebeam
* Comfortable spending time on job sites and in the office
* Capable of understanding and preparing financial, safety, scheduling reports
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Organized - strong in Microsoft Office
* Self-starter, detail oriented and ability to plan ahead

Job Duties:

Jobsite Support:
* Compose Project Site Check Reports:
o Review Site Safety
o Hazard Assessment Checklist & Correction
o Drawings: Audit and Update
o Submittals: Audit and Update
o RFIs: Audit and Update
o Review Superintendent Deliverables
o Identify Hot Items
* Safety Meeting Record Submission
* MOP assistance for Superintendents and Safety Manager
* Set up/monitor project site offices
* Liaison between IT and Field
* Shadowing Superintendent/QCC at inspections, subcontractor coordination, and safety meetings

Training:
* Onboarding of new-hire Superintendents
* Scheduling and tracking of classes (Blueprint Reading Class & Scheduling Class)
o Issue binders with training material
o Review training material
o Procore/CMiC training and support for field staff
o Follow up Procore, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office training, as needed for Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Labor Foremen
* Construction document preparation for BCCI classes
* Assistant for Blueprint Reading Class
* Contact person for Schedule Training consultant
Quality Control:
* Procore Administrator
* Attend bi-weekly QC & Service Meetings
* Executive Assistance
* Preparing project information for meetings
* Calendar management
* Proofing and editing of documents
* File protocol and maintenance
* Coordinate for weekly approval of department expense reports
* Request union dispatch letters for new hires
* Misc. tasks as assigned
Field Operations Meetings:
* Prepare, update and distribute meeting agenda/minutes
* Scheduling of meetings
Superintendent's Meetings:
* Compiling Topics (from FOM suggestions) to prepare the Agenda
* Distribute recap email to supers following meeting
* Scheduling of meetings
* Coordinate presentations
* Prepare and track sign in sheets
Scheduling Meetings:
* Coordinate and schedule weekly Scheduling Meetings with FOM team
* Continuously update Superintendents Schedule with PTO, Holidays, Project Date updates, redlines, etc.
* Print and hang Superintendent's Schedule
* Print Core Construction Pipeline and CRM Opportunities for meeting

Safety:
* Assist in Safety Training with Safety Manager
* Conducting safety visits of jobsites
Labor Operations:
* Laborer Meeting Planning
* Preparing Agenda & sign-in sheet
Project Coordination - FOM Assistance:
* In preparation for project kick off meeting, work with project estimator to provide half size drawings, sub quotes, schedule and proposal to FOM prior to kick off meeting.
* Aid in scheduling of internal kick off meetings and attend kick off meeting. Draft notes from kick off meeting for FOM to review and distribute.
* Update Construction Pipeline in Core.
* Aid in preparation, scheduling and note distribution of Project Check Ins.
* Attend weekly field staff meetings at project sites.
* Meet bi-weekly to review upcoming kick off meetings, project check ins, etc. Compose agenda for these meetings.

Education:
* Bachelor's degree, with an Engineering or Construction Management background or related fields preferred
* Career path provides opportunity to develop into any operations role (APM, Precon, QCC) in 18-24 months

Compensation Range: $30-$37 an hour
