POSITION SUMMARY

The Opportunity and Inclusion Coordinator will report directly to the Chief Opportunity and Inclusion Officer. The coordinator's primary responsibilities are to provide administrative support and assistance in the following areas: (1) Assisting Inclusion Program Management, (2) Metrics & Reporting, (3) Firm-wide Communications, and (4) Affinity Group Management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in planning all aspects of inclusion-related programs and events, including reserving conference rooms, creating invitations, managing catering, tracking responses, nametags (if applicable), scheduling audiovisual, and post program tasks.
  • Assists the team with the collection, analysis, quantification, and benchmarking of inclusion data, trends, and other related information, including the creation of reports.
  • Manages diversity conference registrations and track sponsorships.
  • Acts as administrative support for the Opportunity and Inclusion Committee and affinity groups, including preparing agenda, and recording minutes for circulation.
  • Assists with preparation of inclusion-related statistical information.
  • Maintains O&I calendar.
  • Assists the Inclusion Team with managing the O&I budget.
  • Develops and maintains O&I resources folders and databases for tracking O&I activities and surveys.
  • Collaborates with the Inclusion Team to respond to O&I client and market surveys.
  • Serves as contact for affinity group chairs and provides administrative support.
  • Updates and maintains affinity group directories.
  • Assists in research and preparation of reports.
  • Monitors inclusion trends in the legal industry and with our clients.
  • Works with members of the talent team to execute programs.
  • Assists with creating, monitoring, and updating opportunity and inclusion collateral materials.
  • Captures and circulates reports, articles, and developments in the legal profession regarding inclusion.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience at a law firm, government agency, or professional services firm required.
  • This is an in-office role that will be expected to be in the office at least 4 days per week.

COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in recruiting, marketing, communications, inclusion or event planning is preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a detailed-oriented and proactive approach to projects.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Strong client-service orientation.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment (i.e. frequent change, delays or unexpected events).
  • Passionate about inclusion issues.
  • Ability to manage competing demands.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

SALARY

Illinois based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $75,000 - $87,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.

New York based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $84,000 - $98,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
