WHO YOU ARE:

As a Senior Web Experience Designer, you will be a key driver in defining and crafting our global web presence, serving as an in-house expert at the intersection of User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX) strategy. You'll interpret the Snowflake brand in the context of in-browser experiences-delivering the right information in the right way, with a focus on performance, usability, and conversion

This role is responsible for the visual execution of our brand as well as the strategic optimization of the user journey. You will craft visually engaging designs, responsive layouts, and interactive prototypes that support user-centric web experiences across Snowflake's corporate website and related properties. You will drive UX strategy, research and journey mapping to improve the snowflake web experience for its global corporate website and related web properties through web best practices, and quantitative and qualitative data as our in-house Web UX evangelist .

You'll collaborate across teams to improve the user experience of Snowflake's corporate website and related properties, helping to define and execute a forward-looking web vision. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Web Experience Design as part of the Brand Marketing organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Design and create captivating experiences and user journeys for snowflake.com, and related web properties, ensuring they reflect our brand and resonate with our target audience and drive conversions.

  • Produce high-fidelity visuals, layouts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts, user flows, and interactions to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Lead UX efforts as our in-house UX expert - conducting usability testing and user research to iterate and improve the Web experience collaboration with the web team, ensuring optimal user satisfaction and seamless interactions.

  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Web Experience team and marketing colleagues to understand project requirements, marketing goals, and design guidelines, and translate project requirements and marketing goals into intuitive, visually engaging experiences.

  • Create new page templates, patterns, and components on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and iterate on existing ones.

  • Work in tandem with Designers, Content creators, SEO leads, developers and front-end engineers to implement and maintain the design integrity throughout the development process.

  • Proactively contribute to design discussions and brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies to enhance the overall user experience and keep our digital presence at the forefront of innovation.

  • Maintain a fearless attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

WHAT YOU'LL HAVE:
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

  • Expert understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design,responsive design, SEO, web usability and accessibility best practices

  • Hand on experience with UX research - tree testing, user testing, persona development etc.

  • Hands on knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enabling rapid prototyping and effective communication with development teams.

  • Experience creating scalable components and contributing to web-based design systems, including creating robust documentation for engineering handoffs.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality design work in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented approach to design, ensuring pixel-perfect visuals.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Web UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing public-facing web projects, including experience designing for B2B tech company websites.

  • Strong working knowledge of Figma, including a deep understanding of best practices for efficient workflows, advanced component creation and management (including variants), and effective utilization of design tokens and variables for scalability and consistency.

  • Working knowledge of web animation tools such as Lottie, GSAP and Rive

  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Heap with an understanding of how to apply insights to improve UX.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related workflow tools such as JIRA or Wrike.

  • Expertise in working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar enterprise-level content management systems.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $144,000 - $201,600.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
