We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary, Certified or Registered (CRT) (RRT), internally referred to as our Respiratory Care Practitioner II, St. Joeseph's Medical Group, a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist 2 (RT 2) you will, under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager, perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. This position will also be responsible for Lung Health Coordination for the area.

Shift's Available: Days

Hours: 8 hour shift

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician
  • Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient
  • Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems. Patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma
  • Lung coordinator coordination including navagating patients throughout the Lung Cancer Care Continuum
  • Coordinate specific services throughtout the healthcare system including pulmonary proceedures based on findings

Clinic environment - Monday - Friday; no weekends



Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
  2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  3. 2 years experience as an RCP preferred.
  4. NRP certificate preferred.
  5. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
