Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach four classes each semester primarily in our award-winning, first-year writing program.

Instructors may also be assigned to teach courses in English Education, literature, creative writing, applied linguistics, or professional writing depending on faculty expertise and departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment and at least one year experience teaching first-year writing at the college level.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: ABDor terminal degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment; three or more years' experience teaching first-year writing at the college level; experience with teaching or scholarship in one or more of these areas: Literature, Creative Writing, English Education, Ethnic Studies, Diverse or Global Rhetorics, and/or Early American literature.
