Valiant is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment with small engines. Provide general and direct support for lawnmowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, portable generators and ATVs/UTVs. Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs. Perform maintenance at maintenance shops and in the field. Operate recovery vehicles such as car haulers or wreckers. Operate forklift and tractor. Work weekends and shift work. Follow all environmental and safety rules. Other duties as required. 3+ years' experience as a small engine mechanic on lawn equipment, power equipment, ATVs and UTVs. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations. Must possess a valid LA Class D chauffeur's license or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire to maintain employment. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening. DESIRED EXPRIENCE: Previous maintenance and/or mechanical experience on the MSC. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
