Business Analyst, Product Systems

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring our insurance products and systems align with business goals while delivering value to our customers. A key aspect of this role involves includes User Acceptance Testing, gathering and documenting business requirements for system enhancements, designing and executing detailed test plans and test cases, and identifying and resolving various types of defects across both internal and customer-facing platforms

Maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, values and upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

* Design, execute and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on defined requirements

* Perform user acceptance testing to validate all system enhancements meet our business requirements

* Identify and report system defects, ensuring all systems align with our business requirements

* Analyze and translate defects into actionable solutions, collaborating with IT analysts, developers and product managers to ensure a timely resolution

* Provide updates and reports on UAT progress, issues, and results to UAT manager

* Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and develop detailed business requirements that support organizational goals

* Conduct comprehensive gap analysis between current and target states and deliver recommendations to achieve desired outcomes

* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AmTrust's internal and external facing systems

* Work closely with the UAT Manager to define and understand all testing objectives

* Build relationships with IT and other departments within the organization

* Perform other functionally related duties as assigned

* Train new staff as needed

Required:

* 3 years of Commercial Multi-Line Insurance experience

* Ability to understand and interpret system requirements

* Ability to understand and interpret state filings

* Property and Casualty Underwriting and rating experience is preferred

* Experience writing SQL queries is preferred

* Experience in Agile & Waterfall methodologies

* Strong organizational and analytical skills

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Team focused with the ability to effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Visio, SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
