The Emergency Trauma Tech works as a team member in the Surgical ICU and Level 1 Trauma Resuscitation Unit under the direct supervision of the RN. The Trauma Technician provides patient-specific care, observation, and intervention as directed by unit protocols to high-risk patients. The duties include and are not limited to assisting with activities of daily living, feeding, mobility, and vital signs. Stocking supplies and transporting patients. Collecting patient care data, labeling, and transporting specimens. Performing secretarial duties as needed. Assisting other teams in the Surgical ICU and Trauma Unit when required. The Trauma technician also ensures patient care guidelines are followed in order to reduce and prevent harm and performs all other related support functions as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $51,114 - $63,559 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $24.48 - $30.44 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
