CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Fire Protection Small Contracts Leader to join our Commercial & Institutional - Fire Protection Services Team at our Birmingham or Cullman, AL office.

CHA Fire Protection Services offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to the most challenging fire protection projects. Our knowledgeable staff manages complex industrial, commercial and design/build fire protection projects, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, ground storage tanks, underground piping, and special hazards.

The Fire Protection Small Contracts Leader, an important technical leadership role at CHA, leads an effective and productive team of technical professionals. This individual's success is measured by their team's technical quality, achieving team utilization targets, engaging, and motivating their team to go above and beyond, and effective management of project budgets. The Fire Protection Small Contracts Leader organizes, directs, and coordinates activities associated with the project scope of work either individually or collectively with their team. This includes working closely with our sales team to review and manage estimates and pursuits.

High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• NICET certification preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience required; a minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
• Fire sprinkler experience required; fire alarm experience is a plus
• Experience leading a team is a plus
• Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
• Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
• Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
• Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required
• Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite required
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
• An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Ability to travel as needed required
• Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her respective discipline
• Technically astute and strategic in thinking to manage the activity within the team
• A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader
• Ability to resolve matters timely and lead projects to completion with a sense of urgency
• Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company
• Experience with project budgeting preferred
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting processes

$115,000 - $120,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
