MUST:
Experienced Media Relations Analyst
Eligible for T4 level Public Trust
4+ years of professional experience working in Media Relations
Experience and understanding of media relations and associated analytics
Experience in industry standard media metrics software (i.e. Cision, Meltwater)
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Highly motivated / self-starter
High attention to details
Strong problem-solving skills and highly analytical
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, media, or related field
DUTIES:
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the team tracking, managing, and logging incoming and outgoing media inquiries, monitor press coverage, and produce high-impact communications materials
This candidate must have a solid understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency across platforms
Provide relevant and necessary metrics and analytics on media relations functions and press coverage
Compiling and distributing press clips on a daily basis
Drafting press releases, public affairs guidance, and other media relations products
Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency across platforms
Supporting crisis communication efforts by preparing rapid response materials
Assisting in planning and executing press events, briefings, and media engagements
Provide a high level of quality service and customer support to the client and the communication team
