*Position Summary:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our Central Authorization Center team. Reporting to the Manager, this role collaborates closely with FCC, ASC scheduling, and physician offices to ensure all necessary approvals and insurance authorizations are secured for outpatient ancillary services. The ideal candidate will be proactive in verifying insurance information, resolving claim denials, and ensuring timely and accurate billing to support patient care and financial operations. *Key Responsibilities:* * Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service or upon admission. * Notify insurance carriers of admissions via online portals, phone, or fax to prevent denials. * Obtain authorizations before scheduled services, coordinating with physician offices to meet deadlines. * Document all authorization details and issues in the ADT system. * Monitor authorization status to ensure compliance and prevent denials. * Correct and update insurance information based on claim rejections or eligibility failures. * Assign accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes for billing and documentation. * Collaborate with radiologists and physician offices to ensure managed care pre-authorizations are complete. * Support denial management and ensure accurate insurance data on patient accounts. *Qualifications:* * Minimum 2 years of prior authorization experience. * Proficient in navigating insurance company websites. * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Strong knowledge of medical insurance and authorization processes. * Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding standards. *Details: * * Pay: $25 - $30/hr. * Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered * Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
