This client is seeking a dynamic and experienced instructor to lead training in fiber optic installation, data center operations, and broadband technologies. This role involves delivering hands-on instruction using industry-standard equipment and preparing students for certification and employment in the telecommunications field. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skill, instructional experience, and a passion for workforce development. Data Center: 1. Power Infrastructure Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS): Backup systems to maintain power during outages. Power Distribution Units (PDUs): Distribute electricity to servers and equipment. Generators: Provide long-term backup power. Electrical grounding and surge protection. 2. Cooling Systems CRAC/CRAH Units (Computer Room Air Conditioning/Air Handling): Maintain optimal temperature and humidity. Hot/Cold Aisle Containment: Improves airflow efficiency. Liquid cooling systems (in high-density environments). 3. Cabling and Connectivity Fiber Optic and Copper Cabling: For high-speed data transmission. Structured Cabling Systems: Organized layout for scalability and maintenance. Patch Panels and Cable Management: Ensure clean and efficient routing. 4. Racks and Enclosures Server Racks: House servers, switches, and other hardware. Rack Accessories: Shelves, rails, and cable organizers. Security Enclosures: Protect sensitive equipment. 5. Network Equipment Switches and Routers: Manage data traffic. Firewalls and Load Balancers: Ensure security and performance. KVM Switches: Allow control of multiple servers from one console. 6. Monitoring and Management Environmental Sensors: Track temperature, humidity, and airflow. DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) Software: Monitor and optimize operations. ETA Fiber Optics Installer (FOI) Offered by Electronics Technicians Association Recognized in telecom and broadband sectors. Sumitomo Fusion Splicer Certification Hands-on training and certification for using Sumitomo splicing equipment. VIAVI Fiber Optic Test Equipment Certification Focuses on using VIAVI tools for fiber testing and troubleshooting. Data Center Certifications BICSI Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) Covers design and implementation of data center infrastructure. Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) Focuses on data center reliability and tier classification. CompTIA Server+ or Network+ Validates foundational knowledge in server and network infrastructure. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Useful for trainers teaching data center networking fundamentals. Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) Offered by EPI, covers power, cooling, cabling, and security. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
