Employee Health Nurse

Location: Orion Building, Daniels Parkway Fort Myers

Shift: Shift 1/7:30:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.27 - $40.86 / hour

Conducts pre-placement and periodic nursing assessments to ensure that prospective employees and volunteers meet the physical requirements of a job. Assesses employees and volunteers who become ill or are injured at work. Provides immunizations/vaccinations per Lee Health policy to prevent spread of communicable diseases. Promotes safe work practices and working environments. Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. The nurse practice is guided by the code of ethics for nurses with interpretative statements.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

Two years experience in staff nursing required. Occupational health nursing experience preferred.

Certification:

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse or

Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist preferred.

License:

Current RN Florida License.

Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision
