ABOUT THE ROLE

The GSW PMO Solutions Engineer will act as an internal consultant, partnering with regional operations and operational support teams to diagnose operational inefficiencies and co-create solutions that fit their unique needs. The Engineer will support and extend the technical capabilities of the Process Improvement function by building, automating, and maintaining digital tools that streamline operations. The Engineer will play a crucial role in turning complex processes into intuitive and streamlined solutions and will explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with the GSW PMO Digital Trans Mgr/Dir to execute the PMO team's technical vision and automation strategy
  • Conduct workflow analysis and process mapping sessions with stakeholders to identify the root causes of operational friction
  • Develop and maintain workflows and automations using Power Automate and other scripting tools to reduce manual, repetitive tasks
  • Assist in the design and development of integrations between key business systems, including our ERP (JD Edwards E1), SharePoint, Salesforce and Project Management Tools, to ensure seamless data flow
  • Build custom solutions using skills in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and modern frameworks like .NET, React, or Node.js
  • Support the technical needs of the GSW Project Management Operations technical team, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to end-users
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for all developed solutions, ensuring clarity and ease of use
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and platforms that align with the team's goals
  • Act as a technical consultant to stakeholders, translating business pain points into formal technical requirements technical requirements for new automation or application projects
  • Regular and predictable attendance

  • Essential functions of this position will be performed at a Company-designed office or field location

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience identifying problems and developing & implementing automation and application solutions
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with version control (Git/GitHub) and rapid tooling (GitHub Copilot)
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience developing workflows and automations with Power Automate, other iPaaS/middleware (e.g., Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Boomi), or fully custom API integrations
  • Minimum 4 years of experience participating in the planning and implementation of a new enterprise software application, such as a CRM, ERP, or Project Management Software
  • Minimum 2 years of experience or strong interest in AI/LLM development, including prompt engineering, working with models like GPT via APIs, or leveraging cloud-based AI services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Power Virtual Agents)

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, information systems, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience (minimum 5 years) considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong Excel skills, including Power Query and advanced formulas
  • Proficiency in at least one coding or scripting language such as C#, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, SQL, or VBA
  • Solid understanding of how to work with REST APIs
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET, React, Node.js)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex operational processes.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $90206-$135836 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
