Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced CAE Engineer to support a leading automotive client in advancing vehicle safety and structural performance. In this high-impact role, you'll leverage your deep expertise in CAE methods, crash simulation, and automation to enhance full-vehicle and subsystem crash performance.

Pay Rate: $50 - $59/hr.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead CAE crashworthiness analysis for Body-in-White (BIW) structures at both full-vehicle and subsystem levels.
  • Conduct and interpret simulations related to front and side crash performance, ensuring compliance with FMVSS, ECE, and NCAP standards.
  • Develop and validate automation workflows for CAE processes, including integration of AI/ML-based approaches.
  • Create, optimize, and manage 1D/3D CAE models to improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design and engineering teams to drive continuous improvements in crash performance.
  • Document methods and results to ensure traceability and standardization of simulation practices.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in CAE methods development and application.
  • Proven proficiency with LS-DYNA and ANSA for crash analysis and modeling.
  • Strong familiarity with automotive crash and safety regulations (FMVSS, ECE, NCAP).
  • Experience in automation tools such as modeFRONTIER or iSight highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of additional CAE tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, and Hypermesh.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, MATLAB, and VBA.
  • Advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
