Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Business Operations Services Intern to join our Business and Marketing Operations team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in a variety of operational areas including Marketing and Customer Experience (CX) Operations, Strategic Planning, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) Operations, Conferences, and Global Meetings & Events support.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and eager to learn about cross-functional business operations in a dynamic environment.

Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Project Coordination: Assist with tracking timelines, action items, and deliverables for cross-functional projects across the operations team.

  • Marketing/CX Operations Support: Help maintain and update internal tools, assets, and documentation related to marketing and customer experience workflows.

  • MLR Operations: Support the review and documentation processes, helping to ensure compliance with MLR procedures.

  • Conference & Event Support: Assist with the planning, tracking, and logistical coordination of internal and external events.

  • Strategic Planning: gain insight into Exact's enterprise planning framework and collaborate across teams to drive alignment, consistency, and operational efficiency.

  • Internal Website Updates: Maintain and update intranet pages or SharePoint sites with current content, resources, and process documentation.

  • Documentation Management: Help review, revise, and organize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and other operational documents.

  • Folder & File Organization: Ensure shared drives and team folders are logically structured and consistently maintained.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general support for ad-hoc tasks as needed across the broader

  • Business and Marketing Operations team.

  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduated with or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing,Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Comfortable working with or learning collaborative tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Google Workspace).

  • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn operational processes and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Veeva PromoMats a plus.

  • Experience working and tracking to a budget.

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SharePoint, or internal intranet platforms.

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira).

  • Basic understanding of SOPs, business process documentation, or compliance workflows (e.g., MLR in regulated industries).

  • Exposure to event planning or support, either through school organizations, clubs, or professional settings.

  • Proficiency in data organization tools such as Excel (e.g., pivot tables, filters) or Google Sheets.

Salary Range:

$35,000.00 - $56,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
