As an Executive Sales Director supporting Vision Care, you will be trusted to lead key account functions in a specific region or country. You will nurture relationships, understand customer needs, and create mutually beneficial solutions through account business plans. This includes managing Key Accounts, optimizing contracts, and leading cross-functional teams.

**While it is a remote position there will be frequent Ft. Worth HQ meetings throughout the year. Ideal candidate will reside in DFW area.**

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Manage key account relationships at a local level, including specific accounts and relationships, and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within accounts
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, and expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives
  • Drive sales, promotion, and development in designated accounts to reach commercial goals, and develop customer development strategy and dedicated Key Account Management action plans for assigned accounts
  • Lead the preparation of strategies and individual tactical plans, providing strategic input, and lead negotiations, contracting, pull-through, and formulary management with assigned Key Accounts
  • Optimize contracts, access, and reimbursement across specific customer groups relevant to the role or business unit, and prepare and negotiate contracts and guide initiatives targeting specific accounts
  • Analyze market situations, including competitive intelligence activities on key accounts and competitors
  • Organize customer events and other programs independently or with the marketing/medical department
  • Contribute to the mapping of stakeholders, including segmentation and profiling, and provide accurate and timely data for the Alcon Customer Relationship Management system
  • Lead cross-functional Account teams and other assigned resources to develop and deliver Account business plans
  • Act as a mentor to other Key Account Managers by sharing best practices
  • Develop and service national accounts, establishing and maintaining preferred vendor and/or product status

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
