Pay Rate:$28.11- $30.10

Job Description

Under the direction of the supervisor, an individual will be expected to procure parts, research parts needed, work with maintenance and operations, complete cycle counts, properly store parts, optimize cost and work with vendors, to schedule procurement of materials needed for maintenance work activities including major overhauls, machine modifications, outside contract services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or effectively communicate with other employees to plan and procure parts and material needed to accomplish tasks of either scheduled or unscheduled repairs and to communicate the status of parts on order.
  • Initiate new spare parts standards and maintain and update established spare parts standards, mins and max.
  • Perform assigned tasks independently or with input from supervisor, maintenance engineer, blueprints and/or maintenance manuals.
  • Complete and maintain records in CMMS, Procureit & SAP as required by management such as maintenance work order, inspection reports, P.M. check lists, quote sheets, etc.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the Purchasing/Receiving, CMMS, Supply screens, and Southwire systems in order to coordinate and follow-up on the ordering and delivery of materials.
  • Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of all equipment operations, maintenance procedures and operating standards.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, is required.
  • Previous work experience in a purchasing role or similar.
  • Experienced using procurement software and related applications to track inventory, order parts and check status.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strongly prefer candidates with previous experience working in industrial maintenance.
